Lifestyle: wealth levels and your showroom
How fictional possessions contribute to total wealth while remaining separate from trading collateral and performance.

Total wealth adds another kind of asset
Lifestyle gives City Coin another use inside MockTradeCity: fictional vehicles, property and other possessions can become part of your city profile. Total wealth combines trading equity with the current valuation of Lifestyle assets. If you spend available CC on an item, the cash leaves the trading account while the item enters the Lifestyle side at its applicable value. The purchase does not leave both the spent cash and the item in your balance.
Lifestyle assets are separate from trading collateral and position P&L. A car or property cannot satisfy a stock order's cash reservation, cover a short liability or serve as margin simply because it contributes to total wealth. Season performance also removes the relevant Lifestyle transfers from its trading measure. These boundaries let a player collect fictional possessions without treating every purchase as a stock-market loss or every resale receipt as a new trading gain.
Levels remember a high-water mark
The city has ten wealth levels, from the starting tier through its highest capital tier. Each has a threshold, and the steps are not evenly spaced. Level eligibility follows the highest total wealth previously reached, so a later decline does not automatically remove an earned level. Item unlocks can refer to this historical level. The currently displayed wealth amount and the level therefore answer different questions about present value and past progress.
A progress display relates your value to the relevant thresholds rather than promising that every equal amount of CC advances the same fraction of the whole ladder. The catalogue states each item's required level, which is more precise than inferring eligibility from its appearance or price. A player can retain an unlock while no longer having enough Available CC to purchase the item. Historical eligibility does not create spendable money or waive other account restrictions.
A catalogue with six categories
Lifestyle covers vehicles, property, offices, yachts, private aircraft and collectibles. Items have prices, unlock requirements and rarity information, and some editions have limited supply and identifying numbers. A sold-out edition is different from an item locked by your level. Office progression can use upgrade pricing, crediting the eligible lower tier toward the higher one. The product's item details explain the applicable purchase path instead of assuming every category behaves identically.
Current valuation can differ from original cost. Some assets depreciate toward a floor, others appreciate under periodic rules, and property can use the city's property index. These are programmed rules within the fictional economy, not live prices from a real collectibles or property market. A displayed valuation contributes to total wealth but is not automatically the exact amount of CC available from a resale. The resale terms are a separate figure to inspect.
Platform buyback is its own transaction
Eligible items can be sold back to the platform at the displayed buyback amount. That amount follows the item's rules and can be lower than its current valuation. If an asset valued at 1,000 CC has an 800 CC buyback quote, exchanging it removes the 1,000 CC asset and returns 800 CC, leaving total wealth 200 CC lower with other values unchanged. The historical level remains governed by its high-water mark.
Some items do not support buyback, and limited editions can have their own handling when returned. A platform buyback is not a stock execution and does not add volume to a company's Order book. The resulting CC appears through the account's supported transaction path. A quote shown before confirmation explains the proposed exchange; the completed record establishes what was transferred. Neither the possession nor its buyback value can be redeemed for real currency or real goods.
Where to explore Lifestyle in the city
Account contains the Lifestyle entry with total wealth, level and progression information. The category showrooms and collection catalogue display what is owned, locked or sold out. Owned-item details distinguish current valuation from available buyback terms. These states explain different reasons why an action may be unavailable: lacking the historical level, lacking available CC, unpaid financing restrictions or exhausted edition supply are not interchangeable conditions merely because each can prevent a purchase.
Your city showroom lets you select owned assets for public display, along with supported presentation choices. Public showroom visibility and participation in Lifestyle rankings are controlled by their respective settings. They do not require publishing private orders or the entire trading account. Collection progress supplies another view of what you have acquired across categories. Market rules and the Guide explain the system's boundaries, keeping fictional possessions, current trading resources and public presentation understandable as related but distinct parts of the city.
