The terms of using this city

1. What this is

MockTradeCity is a fictional stock market for entertainment, learning and experiencing how markets behave. Its companies, stocks, news, institutions and currency, City Coin (CC), are all fictional and unrelated to any real listed company, security or currency.

2. No real money

• City Coin has no real-world value. It can't be deposited, withdrawn or exchanged for any currency or real asset, and it can't be transferred between users for value.
• We don't open brokerage accounts, execute real trades, recommend stocks or give investment advice; simulated results say nothing about real returns.
• Real investing can lose your capital; understand the risks and decide for yourself.

3. Accounts

• One account per person. Trading between multiple accounts, farming invite bonuses or manipulating season rankings is abuse.
• Scripts, bots and exploits to gain City Coin, manipulate prices or disrupt others' trading are prohibited. If you find a bug, tell us through Feedback rather than exploiting it.
• Keep your password safe. Anything done through your account counts as done by you.
• For abuse, we may revoke the related City Coin and results, suspend or disable accounts, and review unusual trades under the market rules.

4. Market rules

The rules for matching, price discovery, shorting, margin, securities lending, season ranking and IPOs are in theMarket rules. Rules may change between versions; changes are announced in the app, and past trades are never rewritten.

5. Content and intellectual property

The companies, brands, news and images in the city are original fiction owned by this site. You may share your own record cards and profile; bulk scraping or reselling site data without permission is not allowed. What you publish in your display name and bio must be lawful and must not infringe others' rights.

6. Ads and third-party services

The site shows ads through Google AdSense and measures traffic with Google Analytics. Both switch on fully only after you consent; see thePrivacy Policy. Ad content is the advertiser's responsibility; we don't endorse the goods or services advertised.

7. Changes and disclaimer

The site is provided as is. We do our best to keep the market running but don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To fix defects, protect fairness or change gameplay, we may alter features, reset some data or end the service. To the extent the law allows, we accept no liability for loss arising from using or being unable to use the service, bearing in mind there's no real money here to lose.
